Mudita OS Update Failed?

If an update fails to download or downloads, but fails to install, it's a good idea to perform similar steps as when trying to connect to Mudita Center.


Update Fails?

Start by trying the following steps:

  • Disconnect the device from the computer

  • Restart the device

  • Reconnect the device to the computer

  • Unlock the screen if connecting the Pure


If this doesn't help and your device is still not recognized, you can also try the following:

  • Restart Mudita Center and/or restart your computer

  • Perform a factory reset of your Pure or Harmony. Please note that this step would delete all user data and settings from the device

  • Inspect the USB ports and cable for damage or dirt, clean if needed

  • Make sure the cable is fully inserted on both sides

  • Use a different USB-C cable

  • Reinstall Mudita Center

  • Connect to Mudita Center on another computer (if one is available). If possible, try a machine with a different operating system

Harmony Update Successful Despite Error Message

There are sometimes rare situations when the update will be confirmed on a Mudita Harmony, but Mudita Center will continue to indefinitely display the message that it’s still in progress. If you encounter this bug, you can safely disconnect your Harmony as long as its screen no longer shows that it’s updating and instead the clock has restarted after the update.
