Please open Mudita Center on your computer and connect your Harmony with the USB-C cable included with the device (or another similar cable)
When the alarm clock is recognized and connected correctly, Mudita Center will display the “Overview” section and show an image of your Harmony, along with information about the device
Please refer to the MuditaOS section. It will show the currently-installed version of the clock’s system and include the “Check for Updates” button, which you can use to begin the update process
When you click on “Check for Updates”, Mudita Center will verify if a new OS version is available to install on your Harmony.
If an update is available, you will be given the choice to download and install itClick on “Download Now” to begin the installation
When updating the Harmony, please keep the clock connected to your computer and wait for the process to complete. You should see a confirmation message in Mudita Center once that’s done and your Harmony will automatically restart
Click ”Close” after the update is finished - your Harmony will now be upgraded to the latest OS version
After a successful update, you will once again be able to see your Mudita OS version in the “Overview” section of Mudita Center. It will now show the latest version and say that you’re up to date - you can now safely disconnect your clock
Important Notes
Remember not to use or unplug your Harmony from the computer during the update process. The procedure can take several minutes to complete. Disrupting the update process can corrupt the clocks's system, rendering the device unusable.
We recommend checking for updates to your Harmony's system regularly to make sure you get access to all the latest bug fixes, improvement, and features. This will help your alarm clock to perform as good as it can.
Users may rarely encounter a situation where the update will be confirmed on the clock, but Mudita Center will continue to indefitely display the message that it’s still in progress.
As long as your clock has confirmed the update and successfully restarted afterwards, you can safely disconnect it from your computer. In case you get a message that the update has failed, please try to do it again. If it doesn't succeed on the second or third attempt, please reach out to our customer support.
Troubleshooting Failed Updates
Below is a list of things you could try if you're unable to update the system on your Mudita Harmony or connect it to Mudita Center. The same tips apply to a Mudita Harmony 2.
Try switching the USB port in your computer, through which you're connecting your Harmony.
Restart the alarm clock, then reconnect it to Mudita Center.
Restart your computer, then try again.
Try using a different USB-C cable.
If your computer has exclusively USB-C ports, please try to connecting using a USB-C to USB-C cable. This should work better than using an adapter with the original cable.Delete and reinstall Mudita Center, then try to connect your device (restart and reconnect it if not recognized right away).
Do a factory reset of your Harmony (please be aware that this process deletes all user settings).
If the tips mentioned above fail, you could also try updating your Harmony using through another computer if you have access to one.
