Can I Use the Harmony as a Timer?

The Mudita Harmony and Harmony 2 alarm clocks have several features, which can work as a timer in various situations. Here is a breakdown of what's available:

Power Nap

This feature can serve as a timer set for anything between 1-180 minutes in precise one-minute increments. A chime will signal the end of the countdown.

Relaxation

The Relaxation feature allows you to play a variety of soothing sounds for a set amount of time. Here is how long you can play Relaxation sounds at any given time:

  • Once (song will play one time and stop)

  • For 5, 10, 15, 30, 45, 60 or 90 minutes (song will play on repeat for the set time).

  • In a loop (song will play until turned off or battery runs out).

You can expand your choice of Relaxation sounds by uploading your own audio files to your Harmony or Harmony 2.

Meditation

Similarly to Power Naps, Meditation sessions can last for anything between 1-180 minutes. However, Meditation isn't just a timer and offers additional options to expand the user experience:

  • You can set a start delay to give yourself preparation time before your session begins.

  • There are optional interval chimes, which can signal the passing of each 1/4, 1/3 or 1/2 of the total session time.

  • You can track your Meditation statistics, which show your total and average Meditation time in the last 7, 30 or 365 days.

Focus Timer
It's designed to help organize work and improve productivity. You can set specific time intervals during which you focus on your task, followed by a short break. The cycle then repeats. You can also set a longer break that activates after a specific number of focus and short break cycles.

This feature was introduced in version 2.7.0 of the Mudita Harmony's system. If you can't see the focus timer in your Harmony's menu, please update your alarm clock's software to gain access to this function.

Focus timer settings explained:

  • Focus time:

  • Short break:

  • Long break:
Choose how long you'd like your long breaks to be after completing a specific number of focus time phases. Can be set to between 1 and 30 minutes, in 1-minute increments. Can also be turned off.
