How To Enable and Disable USB File Transfer

If you connect Kompakt to your computer but can’t see your files, you’ll need to allow file transfer.

To allow file transfer:


1. Connect Kompakt to a computer with a USB-C cable

1. Press the Control Center button

1. Tap the Settings icon

1. Tap Connected Devices

1. Tap USB Preferences*

1. Tap File Transfer

*If Kompakt isn’t connected to the computer, you won’t see this option!

How to stop Kompakt showing files when connecting via USB-C

You can stop Kompakt from showing or accessing files when connected to a computer. This may be useful if you connect to a computer that isn’t yours.

To stop showing files:


1. Connect Kompakt to a computer with a USB-C cable

1. Press the Control Center button

1. Tap the Settings icon

1. Tap Connected Devices

1. Tap USB Preferences*

1. Tap No data transfer

*If Kompakt isn’t connected to the computer, you won’t see this option!
