Short answerThe Mudita Dhamma Automatic winds itself as you wear it. If the watch is new or has stood unused for more than 56 hours (its power reserve), start it manually by turning the crown.
Manual winding
- Make sure the crown is fully pushed in.
- Turn the crown clockwise. About 20 to 30 full turns are enough to start the movement and charge the power reserve.
- When the Dhamma Wheel in the center of the dial, which works as the seconds hand, starts turning, the watch is running. Set the time as described in the article How to set the time on the Dhamma Automatic.
Winding by wearing
Wrist movement turns the rotor, a weighted element inside the movement that tensions the mainspring. A watch worn daily does not need manual winding.
