Will the Pure Work With AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile in the USA?

Mudita Pure is designed to be global and carrier-free, but there are certain limitations imposed by US carriers.

The Issue With AT&T and Verizon

During the Pure's certification process, we encountered complications regarding two carriers that operate in the USA: AT&T and Verizon.

Our primary goal was to create a phone with an ultralow SAR value and global coverage. This required us to develop a special antenna design that we patented in the USA and Europe. Although we're really happy with the phone's head SAR test results (only 0.08 W/kg), the antenna's parameters do not comply with the internal certification requirements of Verizon and AT&T.

Extra Requirements

These carriers require additional OTA (over the air) tests, which measure the antenna's transmission (total radiated power) and reception (total isotropic sensitivity).

The Pure's antenna uses a custom shielding solution, which is one of the reasons we could achieve such a low SAR value. Unfortunately, it also means that the phone can't meet the parameters required in these additional tests.

For this reason, we can't guarantee that the Mudita Pure would work with SIM cards from these networks. The current alternative for US-based customers is to use the phone with T-Mobile, which does not have the same strict requirements.

Worth Noting for Travelers:

Although the Pure won't work with American SIM cards from AT&T or Verizon, the phone is still technically compatible with these carrier's networks. This means the Pure can use these networks when roaming and users traveling to the US from abroad with SIM cards from their own country won't be prevented from using their cell towers.
