Properly preparing your space is the first step toward a successful and comfortable practice. The ergonomic, modular design of the Mudita Oasis allows you to completely customize the setup to match your body's unique anatomy.
Here is a step-by-step guide to help you assemble your set and prepare it for your very first meditation session.
Step 1: Unfolding the Meditation Mat
Start by establishing a solid foundation. Remove all components from the packaging, then unfasten the toggle fasteners securing the folded mat. Unfold the mat and lay it completely flat on the floor in your chosen practice space.
Step 2: Assembling the Modular 3-Insert Seat
The core of the system is the cushion, which features three independent inserts. Unzip the cushion cover using the YKK zipper and place the inserts inside in the following order:
- Buckwheat Core Insert: place this at the very bottom to serve as the foundation and primary filling of your seat.
- Coconut-Fiber Stabilizer Insert: place this directly on top of the core insert. This layer is responsible for anchoring and supporting an upright posture.
- Extra Buckwheat Insert: add this at the very top if you prefer maximum height or a slightly softer surface.
Once all selected inserts are in place, zip the cover shut.
Step 3: Positioning the Cushion
Place the assembled cushion directly in the center of the unfolded mat. When you sit down, pay attention to your posture: your hips should be positioned well above your knees. This elevation allows your pelvis to tilt forward naturally, keeping your spine upright without straining your muscles.
Step 4: Adjusting the Bolsters (Full Set Only)
If you have the complete set, it is time to relieve pressure on your lower joints. Place one knee bolster on each side of the cushion and rest your knees comfortably on top of them. The bolsters feature a unique flip-height design: simply rotate them to choose between three height settings (low, medium, or high) that perfectly match your current flexibility.
Your Mudita Oasis setup is now complete. Close your eyes, take a deep breath, and enjoy your practice.
