The latest update to MuditaOS K (version 1.5.0) introduces a range of meaningful improvements focused on usability, system stability, and user privacy. Staying true to its minimalist philosophy, Mudita continues to refine the experience while adding features that enhance everyday use.
Updates to Terms and Privacy
As part of this release, the End User License Agreement (EULA) has been updated. References to the Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform have been removed following its discontinuation. These changes will take effect in 14 days, and continued use of the software will indicate acceptance of the updated terms.
Additionally, the Privacy Information has been updated to reflect the introduction of a new A-GPS feature.
A-GPS – Faster Location with Full Control
A key addition in this update is Assisted GPS (A-GPS), designed to significantly speed up the process of determining your device’s location. This improves the performance of apps such as Maps and Weather.
Importantly:
the feature is disabled by default,
users can enable or disable it at any time,
location data is processed locally on the device,
Mudita does not collect, store, or use location data for analytics or profiling.
This ensures improved functionality without compromising user privacy.
New Kompakt Keyboard
One of the most notable upgrades is the introduction of the Kompakt Keyboard, offering expanded language support and extensive customization options.
Key features include:
- support for 10 languages (English, Polish, Italian, Portuguese, French, Spanish, German, German (Swiss), Dutch, and Czech ),
multiple keyboard layouts (QWERTY, AZERTY, Dvorak, Colemak),
word suggestions and auto-correction,
easy access to special characters and accents,
emoji keyboard with multiple tabs,
dedicated numeric keypad.
You can:
- Change the active keyboard language and layout directly from the keyboard interface
- Create and customize your own keyboard input styles to match your typing preferences
- Personalize your typing experience in Preferences by adjusting settings for auto-capitalization, new sentence shortcut, sound, and vibration
- Enable or disable auto-correction and word suggestions in Text Correction section
